Dr. David Sim

Meet Dr. David Sim

Dr. David Sim is originally from Ottawa. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario in London. After graduation, Dr. Sim practiced general dentistry for five years in Ottawa before completing his orthodontic specialty training at Tufts University in 1991.

Dr. Sim strives to stay up to date on the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics. He is a proud member of professional organizations such as the Ottawa Dental Society, Ottawa Orthodontic Study Club, Ontario Dental Association, Ontario Society of Orthodontists, Canadian Association of Orthodontists, Canadian Dental Association.

 

Dr. Sim volunteers at the Ottawa Mission Dental Clinic http://homelessdentalclinic.com/. He also travels overseas each year with Global Health Outreach https://cmda.org/global-health-outreach/ providing dental care to those in need. He volunteers with Smiles for Canada https://smiles4canada.ca/. This program provides orthodontic treatment to deserving young Canadians who would otherwise not be able to afford treatment.

 

Dr. Sim is active at his church and leads a weekly support group. An avid golfer and runner, Dr. Sim has enjoyed living in Kanata for over 25 years with his wife and four grown children.

Brenda Chee,

BRENDA - RECEPTIONIST AND OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Brenda was born and raised in the west end of Ottawa and joined the team in 1994 following completion of the chairside dental assisting and dental/medical administration training at Career Canada College.


Her role at the office is to assist you with any financial or insurance questions you may have as well as arranging your appointments. Brenda is a talented communicator who is always available to address your needs and looks forward to getting to know you and your family.


In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and travelling.

Carrie Manson

CARRIE - LAB TECHNICIAN AND LEVEL II DENTAL ASSISTANT

Carrie was born and raised in the east end of Ottawa and has been with the office since 2002. Her education includes a Level II Dental Assisting diploma at Algonquin College and a B.A. in Sociology from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.


She takes pride in attention to detail with her appliances and retention wires. Carrie is a skilled multitasker, and you will often see her assisting chairside and engaging with patients.


Carrie is married with two children.  Outside of the office, she enjoys playing golf, softball, walking her dog, and running.

TORI - LEVEL II DENTAL ASSISTANT

Tori  was born and raised in Ottawa and has been with the office since 2018. Her education includes a Level II Dental Assisting diploma at Algonquin College and a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts from Nipissing University.

You will see her floating around the office and chairside.  Always helping out where she can.

In her free time Tori enjoys spending time with family as well as reading and cuddling with her cats.
